Do you have what it takes to support our Strategy Planning and Governance (SPG) group to be the best it can be?

 

The SPG group works across the Ministry providing strategic governance, accountability and transparency, communications, stakeholder, legal, risk and assurance, planning and monitoring expertise to ensure the Ministry's work is robust, properly considered and well represented to its stakeholders.

 

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Office of the Deputy Secretary team of the SPG group to provide and lead project, administrate and business advice  to managers across the SPG Group.

 

This is a new role which will support the SPG Group to manage and deliver on its work programme and lead work to monitor and drive improvements in performance.

 

Successful applicants will be experienced business advisers with a proven ability to support the business to deliver improvements in performance. They will be enthusiastic and have a can do attitude, be customer focussed and flexible, and be able to work as part of a team or individually in a sometimes pressured environment.

 

In addition you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills, attributes and experience:

 

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Well organised and systematic
  • Highly customer focused
  • Exceptional relationship management
  • Process and/or project management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Good analytical skills
  • A Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is preferable.
