About our group
ICT Strategy, Planning, and Architecture (SPA) work with the Ministry and education sector to ensure clear alignment and connection between business strategy, Digital strategy, and digital solution design.
We have recently undertaken a review of our current workforce and have identified a number of roles we need to fill to ensure that our strong delivery commitment is continued at its high standard and as a result of this we are looking for a Security Architect to join the team.
About the roles
The Security Architect will provide an on-going security architecture programme to support business direction and help provide advice on the design of the security perspectives of the Ministry's business systems.
We need an individual with strong leadership, sound judgement and professional credibility to engage meaningfully with management and to influence positive change. You will become part of an already successful group that has the attention of the Leadership Team.
You will need to have had solid ICT experience across a range of different technologies in a range of roles across government or commercial organisations and a demonstrable track record in problem solving while leading architecture, design, development and deployment of a wide range of IT solutions in an enterprise environment.
Your work will drive improvements in organisational culture, capability and – ultimately better education outcomes for all New Zealanders.
The world is changing dramatically with it use of digital tools and technologies and the New Zealand Education System is at the forefront of using these new approaches. These roles allow you to be at the centre of working through that change and achieving better outcomes for all New Zealanders, through a smart digital education system.
