Advisor on Deaf Children
Fixed Term position - Starting ASAP - 28/06/19
Applications are invited from a suitably qualified and experienced Advisor on Deaf Children to join our Whakatane Team, providing services to deaf and hearing-impaired children, their families and their schools and preschools.
The successful applicant will provide specialist advice and guidance to all children and young people aged from 0 - 21 years with sensory-neural or long-term conductive hearing loss, their families and support services.
A Postgraduate degree in Special Education (Sensory Disability) and a Diploma of Advisor on Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Children or equivalent qualification is required.
An experienced Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) or Speech-Language Therapist (SLT) may be considered for the position.
Applicants must have a current driver's licence as travel will be required.
