About our group
The Early Learning and Student Achievement (ELSA) Group sets the system-level learning for every child and student. Working between policy and customer facing functions, there is a significant political, stakeholder and public interest in the high performance of this group and the education curriculum and teaching workforce outcomes we seek for New Zealand.
The Office of the Deputy Secretary supports the Deputy Secretary ELSA, and the teams within the Group, to achieve strategic and operational objectives and to build a great working culture and environment. We are a practical, fast-paced, deadline driven and service oriented team that focuses on commissioning, work tracking, resource management, planning, business performance and excellent relationship management. About the role
A recent restructure and refocus of the group has resulted in a Personal Assistant role being available for an individual with the right skills and a ‘can-do' attitude:
Our Personal Assistant will provide support to the Group Manager by effectively managing their schedule and performing a wide variety of administrative, planning, and organising duties. The Personal Assistant also coordinates group wide activities and provides some administrative services to other managers and staff in the Group. Duties performed require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact and independent judgment.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, has had diary management experience and has strong coordination skills, you may have been or are currently a project administrator.
You will need to be computer literate, with skills including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Visio to intermediate or advanced level.
Strong time management and organisational skills and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a diverse group of contacts is a must have.
