The Early Learning and Student Achievement (ELSA) Group sets the system-level learning for every child and student. Working between policy and customer facing functions, there is a significant political, stakeholder and public interest in the high performance of this group and the education curriculum and teaching workforce outcomes we seek for New Zealand. The Office of the Deputy Secretary supports the Deputy Secretary ELSA, and the teams within the Group, to achieve strategic and operational objectives and to build a great working culture and environment. We are a practical, fast-paced, deadline driven and service oriented team that focuses on commissioning, work tracking, resource management, planning, business performance and excellent relationship management.
About the roles
A recent restructure and refocus of the group has resulted in an Advisor role being available for an individual with the right skills and a ‘can-do' attitude:
The Advisor - Strategy Planning and Investment provides advice and delivery support for ELSA, encompassing planning, delivery, monitoring, and reporting with a focus on the business lifecycle process to manage achievement of the long term business performance. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated aptitude and interest in business performance systems and the willingness to undertake a broad range of business functions.
