Are you a psychologist motivated by seeing first-hand the difference you've made in the lives of children and young people? Then we want to hear from you.
We are seeking a person who is ready for new opportunities, who is enthusiastic, versatile and highly motivated to support learners with ongoing learning and behavioural needs.
As a Psychologist, you'll be using your skills and knowledge to help children and young people with behavioural or learning difficulties. You'll work with the child, their families and teachers, to help improve outcomes for them at school and in their future lives.
- Working with a team of educators, caregivers and whānau, to help them understand the child and their behaviour, and create a personalised plan to support their learning and development.
- Providing advice on the best learning environments and strategies to effectively manage the child's behaviour, ensure their own and others' safety, and support development of social skills to improve future participation, wellbeing and learning outcomes.
- Facilitate access to wider services and support, in response to individual need, for example speech and language therapy and local agencies.
Applicants must also have a full driver's licence as travel will be required.
Note you must be registered as a Psychologist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act to apply for this position.
