Speech Language Therapist
Permanent, full-time 1.0 FTE position
Applications are invited from qualified and experienced Speech-Language Therapist for positions in our Wellington Region, to provide service to our Kapiti and Horowhenua area, based at our Otaki office.
Successful applicants will be required to provide services to students and pre-schoolers with disabilities / communication difficulties, working with their parents / whanau, teachers and support staff to improve outcomes for these children.
The work will involve participating in multi-disciplinary collaborative teams and includes establishing effective relationships with parents, families and whanau, educators and others working in the community.
Applicants need to have excellent teaming, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills. The ability to be able to work effectively with children, parents, whanau, caregivers, teachers and other specialists, and a commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi is essential.
Applicants must be eligible for membership of the NZSTA.
