The position is based in the Hamilton office but will involve work in the Hauraki, Thames and Coromandel areas.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team providing ecological assessment, intervention, training and reporting services, advising and supporting schools to provide inclusive practices that enable student success.
You will need strong teaming skills and the competency to establish effective relationships with whānau, parents, families, educators and key providers working within the community.
An awareness and sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity, a strong commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, the Ministry's priorities and the Māori education strategy ‘Ka Hikitia', are essential.
A knowledge of Te Reo me ngā Tikanga and previous successful engagement with Māori is highly desirable.
